About us

Welcome to Colophon, an initiative dedicated to celebrating the artist's book in all its facets. We are proud to be founded by three neighboring organizations located in The Hague's historical district of printing houses, within walking distance of each other: The Archives, Grafische Werkplaats, and Page Not Found. Each of these organizations offers distinct and complementary aspects of the artistic publishing field.

↗ The Archives, curated by art collector Peter van Beveren, houses a remarkable library comprising thousands of monographs, artists' catalogues, photobooks, and other ephemeral materials. It serves as a valuable resource for art enthusiasts and researchers.

↗ Grafische Werkplaats, known as an expertise center for graphic printing techniques in The Hague, provides access to a range of printing machines and offers workshops on screen printing, textile screen printing, etching, relief printing, lithography, and risography. It's a place where artists can hone their skills and experiment with various printing methods.

↗ Page Not Found is a non-profit centre dedicated to artistic publishing. Our curated bookshop features a unique selection of artist-made publications. We host free public events, including performances, workshops, and exhibitions, and publish books by artists.

Our website will keep you updated on the programs and activities offered by these founding organizations. Additionally, you have the opportunity to arrange a group visit to explore The Archives, Grafische Werkplaats, and Page Not Found firsthand.
